Aleppo soap with 20% laurel oil is really good for relieving eczema and other skin problems. Many people also think that the soap with more laurel oil is better suited to hair washing. Aleppo soap is considered by many to be the original soap of soaps, - which is true. The first documented soap industry has been found in the Syrian city of Aleppo, which around the year 0 had several soap factories, or soap factories as it is historically often called. Exports were high and this is how the knowledge of large-scale soap production came to Europe. The soap's recipe has not changed over time but is made then, as now, on olive oil, soda and bayberry oil. Not to be mixed with bay leaf oil. There are many historical examples of pure olive oil soaps, so what is special about Aleppo soap is bayberry oil. Bay leaf oil has many proven benefits for the skin, soothes eczema and can help with psoriasis. Together with the fatty olive oil, the result is a really good, mild and moisturizing soap. The different levels in which the soap is found indicate how much of the laurel oil there is in the soap. The more layers the more exclusive soap, many also claim the better. Genuine Aleppo soap should not contain color or fragrance. The soap should be seen as a multi-product and is ideal for washing hair, the whole body and children. Tip. Grated Aleppo soap mixed with water is great as a bath oil and soap. Try it for washing clothes and as a stain remover.
